Being unemployed

Right now I'm unemployed because I resigned from my previous company. I fear if I will not resign they might terminate me because I have been with the company for more than 9 years, that I have higher salary than others doing the same job, that I am old and not as fast and productive as the young ones. I missed my job. I fear that if I get sick what's going to happen time cuz I don't have health insurance

sorry to hear it as i did something before 3 years as I resigned job because of not getting salary and i haven't any opportunities that time but after sometimes i started my own business in the same field and it helpful for me. you can try your own business in the same field and nowadays lots of things available online for work, as i can see you are from the Philippines then you have one good opportunity that you can work online and earn crypto as it legal at your place. Filipino people are so smart in online earning you can try it too.

Before resigning, do you have any ideas that will replace your income? And why you are afraid if you will get fired? Your company should give you at least 2-months salary for that.

Hmmn not that big for a business. Salary Ive talked about is the salary of newbies compared to the salariy of tenured employee. In my country, they prefer hiring newbies because of minimum wage pay and kicks those who stays longer

@Rhodars01 but at least it should be 50% of your salary for every year of service. I hope you are able to get another employment.

@Rhodars01 I can understand, those who are with a company from many years are protected by the law here.

A colleague of mine who is more than 10 years in the company was terminated. They tried finding fault. I resigned to avoid having the same fate like she had experienced

You need not resigned because you are a regular or tenured worker and if terminate you, the labor laws will sanctioned that company to pay you. There should be separation pay. You should have not resigned because you are tenured worker in that company.

I do not have health insurance either. And neither does hubby but he actually works so he can get one. It's expensive though that's why he doesn't.

Sorry to hear that. You've not realized that it is gross mistake you made by resigning from your job. Yiur reason is too weak. Because of jealousy from your coworkers due to your high salary, you're compeled to resign. Since you tendered your voluntary resign, you receive nothing from the company you're working.

Tough decision to walk away. I've done it, without the safety net of another job. I do not know what the job market there is like, but good luck landing a new position.

I think you shouldn't resign , at least for that reason. How old you are, it doesn't really matter, as long as you do your job well , and obviously as long as you feel like doing it. Only if you feel tired physically or spiritually or in your company do not deserve you, I would justify your resignation.
