Any exciting plans for August?

Can't believe it's already August. Time sure flies.
This month I have three concerts coming up: Queen + Adam Lambert, David Cook, and Backstreet Boys. I am very excited about all of them but most of all Backstreet Boys because this will be the first time I get to see them in concert.
I was invited to a bachelorette party this weekend but I did not go because it's in the Hamptons and would cost a lot of money, which I did not want to nor can afford to spend.
Other than that no other set plans for August, which sucks. Even though I hate the heat and it is best for me to stay in an air conditioned room, I wanna be outside the house doing interesting things, exploring places I've never been to. I keep myself indoors most of the time and I can't take it anymore.
Would be nice to have a little getaway somewhere but I doubt hubby will take off work.

For us, the excitement starts next week! On Wednesday it`s down to London for a Proms Concert at the Royal Albert Hall (Mozart`s Requiem) and possibly the Summer Exhibition at the Royal Academy on Thursday before catching the train home.
On Friday we`re off to Dorset for a week, staying at a National Trust cottage on the Isle of Purbeck - which is quite close to where I grew up. The camera will be working overtime!

I'm sorry you're having cabin fever. I'm content to stay in the a/c. We must go to a family get-together of my husband's cousins and sit on the patio of a restaurant in 85 degree weather and have dinner. I would rather be inside the restaurant in the a/c.

@lovebuglena It's for 20 people; and I guess that's the only place they could put us where we wouldn't bother anyone. Next time I'm going to volunteer to pick the place!

Yeah. Calendar-wise summer is over Sept. 21 so still plenty of time.
