Did you ever drive a tractor?

I have driven tractor just once. It was much bigger then the one pictured, and it had 4 wheels on it. It also had a cab, all of our tractors had cabs except for 3 of the little ones. Driving a tractor is alot different then car as there is no gas pedal only a throttle to control the speed and GPS to keep you straight. You have quite the bird's eye view from a tall seat in a tractor.

I was born and brought up in a village where there were several farmers, though my family was not in that profession. Tractors were not as common then as they are now. They were used for ploughing and other field work but at least one farmer used horses to plough and most used steam engines for threshing and other static power. That was because petrol and diesel were in short supply during the war, so most farmers used alternatives. I do remember the delight of sitting in the seat of a tractor, though I never actually drove one. My first experience with driving a vehicle was sitting on my uncle's knee and steering his car on a quiet country lane when I was about 8 years old. I didn't learn to drive properly until I was 18.

@mrki444 I never did. I guess I never thought of it. I read here about a young toddler did not let his parents know he left and drive their tractor to town I think it was.

I have not but rode one, foster homes not allowed to work. You will be fine though, horses respect if you treat them right
