I wish adults were like children, they never keep grudges or exaggerate things.

This evening, my brother and I were going to the shopping center. I was going to pick some clothes from the tailor while he was going to buy a pair of socks. Before we went, my niece wanted to go with us but we refused because it was almost raining and we wanted to hurry and come back. She was disappointed and even cried, so we promised to bring her whatever she wanted and she said that she wanted a lollipop. With that, she went back to the house still crying and we went our way to the market place.
On coming back, we found my sister (her mother) in the kitchen and she was so mad at us that we left my niece instead of going with her. She had even exaggerated everything by saying that we had chased her back into the house like a dog. My niece on the other hand came into the kitchen so happy that we had brought her a lollipop. She had already forgotten about not going with us. My sister is still mad at us till now as I am going to bed. I just wish she could stop over thinking about it and just let it go.
I wish to be like a child always. I don't want to keep a grudge on anyone who wrongs me or to exaggerate so much on what people do that doesn't please me. I know this is hard to do as an adult but I would love to try being this way.

This is so true! When my son was little we woiuld sometimes argue about something and he would run up to his room in a bad temper and I would be fuming downstairs, but he would run down the stairs 10 minutes later and wonder why I was still in a bad mood! Children definitely do not hold grudges as long as adults.

wow your sister should have learn from her daughter. =) Jesus taught his disciple about becoming as a little child, that in order for us to inherit eternal life we should be as a little child, it doesn't mean that we should act as a child but we follow their attribute, children are meek and humble, kind and true etc.
