I decided to try to get Kodi

I know that it's on the fringe of legal vs illegal, but I am going to try to figure this out and do it the legal way. I'm having a hard time since the jargon they use is foreign to me. I may have to watch some youtube videos, but for now I am going to see if I can't find some info online that I can read step by step.
If you have Kodi, did you do it yourself? If so, did you find it easy?
*I've already got it on my device, I'm just trying to figure out the tv thing now

Kodi is legit in itself. It is some of the third-party plugins which you should avoid. It's not just that some allow you to watch copyright material without the owner's consent, some may also install malware when they update automatically and without your knowledge.
This article explains more about it:
KODI users are being put on alert as the team behind the popular player warn of the dangers of installing some popular add-ons.

Thank You Kindly. I'm opening that up and am going to look through it to make sure I don't have one of these already installed.

Yes, in a way. Kodi is a way to get t.v. for free, some things legally, others... not so much. I am trying to go the legal route. However, I purchased a verified personal network to protect me.

@JustBhem People talk about it here from time to time. Several other users use this. I'm not sure what countries have this available to them. I do know that the US and UK use it.

I never heard of it before. I have Netflix but I watch Pluto sometimes for free TV.

A lot of people with a firestick use it. It's basically a way to catalog television, radio etc, but it's also sort of like an antenna...

I think people use kodi on multiple platforms, but a lot of firestick users use it. It's sort of illegal as it can contain pirated material. However, there are some legal channels on there. You can also purchase somethings to watch on kodi.

@infatuatedbby I used to use my firestick every single day.. Well I still do, but it used to be a lot worse I'd be on it for hours and hours. Yeah, this kodi thing is new to me.

It's a way to get free television. I had a hard time of it but have finally got the hang of it.

@amitkokiladitya Well, first I wasn't sure how to load the catalog / channels onto it. Secondly, I was trying to get a VPN and the VPN I chose was hard to download. I ended up getting rid of it and going with another, which was actually $1.00 cheaper.

It doesn't seem as if a lot of countries have access to it. It's sort of a video library but you have to input outside sources to get the library. Kodi itself isn't illegal, but some of the things you can put on it is.
