Do you help others earn here at myLot?

Users earn here when other users respond and/or comment on their activity. I notice many never get back to their discussions to comment back on responses received.
The first thing I do the moment I get up in the morning is have a hot cup of tea and open the myLot page. Comment on every response I have received unless it is a one or two word response or a question asked to which answers are there in the discussion.
I then go to respond to discussions in the top rated category. . I also get to recent discussions. But sadly many do not get back to comment on those responses
You may be my friend but if you do not come to my discussions or do not comment on my responses to your discussions I will not either. Fair. Right?
Do you comment on every response you receive that deserves a comment? Are you the receiving or the giving type in your real life?

When I come on here I go through my notifications and give responses to comments where responses are due. Then I go to discussions and read and respond to as many as I can and I also check into top-rated and most recent discussions.

@JohnRoberts Sid assists me on occasion like when he looks in from the window to see what I am up to and then decides I need some help and promptly steps on the keyboard. Sometimes he has really good ideas too I can tell from the look on his face.

I am at the point of my mylot life where I don't care who comments or not in my post. I don't do the you do me and I do you thing anymore. I go to discussions that interest me. When I am here, the first thing I do is open my notification and read those who have commented in mine and to respond to them when it needs responding. Then I do to the discussions of my friends and I comment when I have something to say, but when I have none, why bother? Then I go to the most recent discussions.

@JohnRoberts I just don't see the point on forcing myself to comment on someone's discussion just because that person commented on mine. In a site that I work on, it's actually prohibited to do that.

Sometimes it may take a day or two but I do get back to everyone who responds to my posts. I comment other places as well. Sometimes I go to discussions that are highlighted in my side bar.

When just a like is given a thought should occur to the user that a comment would help earn that user.. Ofcourse that response or comment should deserve that comment

@allknowing Well with 5 kids and other things going on, I know at times I post between things offline. Then, I respond when I can.
We should all understand everyone has offline things that definitely come first. =)

Yep, I tend to stick with my old myLot buddies on here and hit em up in their discussions. But the other thing I like to do is hang out in the “New User Discussions” (because I know they’re a bit confused and this is all so new to them) and the “Discussions with no Response”... because I just hate to see a discussion just sitting there and nobody has responded to it. Just looks so lonely. So I like to help these 2 groups out whenever I can. I’ve always done this, even back in the old days.

I comment on all comments that are made to me. I try to keep the conversation going for as long as possible that is just me. Weather that person responses back or not is totally up to them after I comment.

I usually comment to all the responses till it's life time. Some die quickly with thank you and take care or some smileys.
I believe that : a strong interaction happens when the two users in subject has a good rapport with each other. They talk on the topic for a while and get on to other topics as back&forth replies. I still have a couple of friend's post here, where I keep responding to "Hi, Good morning and ..." we discuss daily activities there. In my opinion, that's fine.
Earlier, when I rejoined this site(few years ago), I was so bad to not even like the response of myLotters who had commented on my discussion. I've just revived myself on that line now.
I make maximum effort to respond to each and every comment I receive in my post. Even if it's just Thank you kind of replies, I try to give it back ..

A long interaction is hard to come by but atleast a good comment in the first instance atleast should be given which does not happen here with some.
This discussions has 43 responses and I have commented on all of them.

@allknowing Yes, I agree. Still few people think/ believe that they earn more if they just get response to their discussions. That's not the case. Interaction is key here. That holds true, only when you attempt to build a good rapport with the user who posted the discussion. Each and every comment is a great chance to build this relationship. It's really not the number of likes and comments, it's the DEPTH of the comment and as you'd mentioned the first comment of every participants of a discussion is the key to that door.
Yes. I really know about you. You take great effort to get back to each and every comments that you receive. Keep up the great work.

I try to respond to all my notifications. I respond to other people because I want to and have something to say and not because those people commented on something of mine. Also, if someone doesn't respond to something of mine that doesn't mean I will not check out their stuff or respond to it. That wouldn't be very nice.

@allknowing I don't like when people say something like "if you won't reply to my discussion I will not reply to yours" as that shows that people are doing it not because they want to but because there is something to gain. Yes we earn here but this is a site for having discussions and to not add to a discussion, especially if it will benefit it, because that person didn't add anything to yours is crazy.

@allknowing I see that quite a bit on here, I mean I have been guilty of it now and then but I see some people that do it all the time where they will just leave a one or two word comment and well that really leaves me nothing to say in response.

I do not follow any strategy as such, except bin some occasions.
However I do check and comment on discussions of my followers and some of the discussions that I attend to become quite interactive and long.
So while I might not be the best in this respect, I do help others here as well.

I comment on the most of the responses I receive. I skip some of the really short ones where there isn't much to say, but I comment on the others. I appreciate it when people take time to read and respond, and I would feel bad if I didn't comment on them, but that is not the only reason why I do it. I also do it because I enjoy talking to the people who respond.

@allknowing I have noticed that (I mean the people who post a few words without reading the discussion) I think that some members just want to write as many responses as possible. Someone mentioned that they wanted to write 200 reponses per day.

That is what many do not understand. This is a place where we get to chat and exchange views, learn and also teach and while doing that we help each other to earn. There are few who are always in a hurry by posting just a word or two without even reading the discussion.
