Express Teachers?

What madness. I am a retired teacher in my country, and since this government arrived, I thought I had seen everything in education, but it is not like that, the absurdities are growing. Now that it turns out, that in response to the emigration of a large number of school teachers, the Venezuelan Ministry of Education decided to form what they called "Express Teachers". Scheme that will allow, that any crazy person who can think of it, will be able to graduate as a teacher with a course that will have a duration of 450 academic hours, after which they will pass to the payroll of the ministry and will be assigned to the school institutions that need them. The truth is that I don't know whether to laugh or cry at such aberration. Where are we going to arrive?

You are right friend, unrealistic that what we pass here, I would not wish it to anyone. It's very hard. But sure, it will make us stronger.

I really don't think it happens like this everywhere, at least in aspects as sensitive as education. Countries are interested in having their people educate well so that they thrive.

@profree2019 but making short coursee that makes the students as eligible as the more experienced ones in not justified at all

@amitkokiladitya I totally agree with you. Meritocracy is very important for me. I think the experience makes a difference.

So anybody who's interested to become a teacher has only to take that 450 academic hours and they become qualified?

@profree2019 I know how it is when somebody who don't belong into school come and start acting like he is there for 10 years.

Absolutely not. They will destroy a little more what they have been destroying, which is the hope in youth to get this country out.

@Janet357 Right friend, and the most worrying thing is that it affects the future of a nation. What education could these men have in the future?

In my country to become a teacher takes a long time, around five years. And certification is always held every few years. We all struggle for education, both formally and informally. And hopefully your efforts as a teacher have not been in vain.

I hope so. I still have contact with many of my alumni and they are already good men and women and professionals. I think the teachings were not in vain. When I studied, the career was also about 5 years and then I did the master's degree, but these people have been gradually decreasing the study time. (Please excuse me, I didn't answer you before, I explain it to you in my discussion "Can you imagine feeling like a dog with a chain and a muzzle?") check it please.

Because of the translation, I don't understand what you want to tell me( to be exemted). But I am certainly retired, since 2009. I was 27 years of service. I am a professor of Physical Education and Sports.
