For those who doesn’t know yet about Chronic Kidney Disease and Dialysis is that anger and frustration are common to us that’s because we feel resentful of us being sick, stressed thinking of loosing our life, irked coz we are unable to enjoy our food, tiresome due to a long Dialysis treatment, annoyed coz we can’t have a job, and the disadvantages of medications side effects. Other will say “I should be happy to be alive or I look great! What are you complaining about?” When they really don’t know what they are talking about. For us, anger is normal coz that’s the only way we can express ourselves. Though it may harm us in any ways, it will cause our BP to shoot up and what’s worse is having a heart attack. If I rant here, that’s the only way I can express myself, at least to lessen what’s inside me. And I’m so thankful for some of my friends who does understand me. I hope this will help us understand someone who is undergoing sickness. What can you say?

When Husband was first diagnosed and on HaemoD I went from being a truly negative person to being positive. It was bizarre, but also good for us as a couple because I became the strength to his weakness, if that makes sense. However, inside, I was petrified. You basically have a terminal illness, yet it isn't seen as one. I can only begin to imagine how that feels; you have every right to rant and be angry!

I'm sorry you have this sickness in your life. You do the best you can with your situation. I have a disease in my body that will never go away. I know what I need to do, and trust God to take care of the rest. For the most part, it doesn't bother me, even though I know it will never go away.

There are days when I really hate going to dialysis. I do give myself a free pass once every three months but only when I know it isn't going to back e up with fluids. I am hoping to get my net liver and kidney function test results in next week and be one step closer to getting off dialysis

You have every right to be mad about the world because of your situation but I'd like to think that you know how to find a way to get out of being angry. You have the right to rant, complain, and be annoyed and even though not all understands, you still have the right to. But I just hope that it's not self-pity though.

@JustBhem That's good. Never dwell on self-pity because then, nothing will come out of it and you will just come out as a bitter person that people would hate.

@Janet357 I started UTI when I was in college. If you want to have your kidney live for a long time, stop eating those junk food and drink of plenty of water.
