Music plays a big part in my life. It can change my attitude in a manner of seconds. I like many different types of music. Sometimes I simply search lyrics before I even listen to a song. I also listen to music that has no lyrics.
How do you find music you enjoy?

@just4him Wow! This was a really interesting and great song. I know that I am really new here, but I would love it if you would recommend an uplifting song every single day you are here. It was hopeful and I truly enjoyed it. Thank you.

I have been listening to music for many years and enjoy all kind of music even when they sing in when they sing in other languages and I don't understand a thing they are saying.
At one time the radio only played music and I was exposed to all kind of music. Sometimes I listen to many songs on YouTube.
This is my kind of song and I only heard it for the first time yesterday on YouTube.

Well, I’m old, so my discovery days are behind me. However, I listen: to friends, to other musicians I like, and to “indie” or Americana radio online. Countdowns here have introduced me to some good music, too.

@Ghosthere2 — I have 8,700 songs on my iPod. Want it alphabetically or shuffle?
Seriously....I would recommend that you spend a few hours meandering through old countdowns here from John and Scott, as well as JJ’s vinyl countdown. Mine, too, if you’re bored.

I'm stuck in the 60s and 70s and love a lot of the music from those eras. Good job, Anne Marie! I knew you could do it. Welcome to MyLot!

@LindaOHio Yes! We now have it turned up on the sound system in the house. Sometimes that is a point of contention, but we are all good with this.

We went to a Blue Grass Festival just last month. We really enjoy one of the artists. This is not my favorite of his - but it the one he gets most of the request for. I will share my favorite later. You can clearly tell the man can play all the instruments!

Anything that sounds good and pleasant is fine. Not very loud. Just something soothing I guess. :)

Yup, listening to music is affecting me too. Mostly in an artistic way, because writing music is my side job. Normally, I'm searching instrumental music on YouTube for inspiration.
