Found a cute movie to watch last night. Mark Wahlberg is a favorite actor. He and Rose Byrne starred in this movie. A couple find themselves in over their heads when they foster three children. They planned to only foster one child, then found siblings they could not resist. The movie is inspired by a true story. Sadly, there are many children waiting to find good loving homes. All ages. The teens seem to be in the minority. Most parents are looking for younger children. Kind of sad to see so many in these agencies with no homes. Have you seen this movie?
Directed by Sean Anders. With Mark Wahlberg, Rose Byrne, Isabela Moner, Gustavo Escobar. A couple find themselves in over their heads when they foster three children.

I didn't watch that movie, but you are right, many children are waiting in the homes of a new family.

@LindaOHio It is the only way we watch movies. Unless there is something on the move channel or FX, basic cable channels.

A friend was just telling recently how her family would take in foster kids give them so much love, yet the kids would cry for their biological parents.

@CarolDM My family & I have never taken in foster kids. I simply thought what a coincidence you brought the subject up today and my friend did on Tuesday.

Depends on the situation. Sometimes the children do not even know their biological parents. Every situation i different.

I think this was a really good movie! And that's true about adoption, and parents looking for younger children....that can be very sad!

I have not seen it, but if I want to do it, this is the kind of movies I like, thanks for recommending it. it's really sad that so many children miss getting to know a home just because of their age

no ma'am. i've not seen 't, as with most movies. yer correct, folks want young'uns who're wee, not so much pre-teen'n older. 'tis sad, 'cause the 'system' 'tis filled with teens. most get bounced from home to home 'n once they turn 18? booted out'ta the system 'ntirely with no safety net 'r direction - both 'f which could be obtained if'n 'nly someone'd take a chance with 'em.
