Happy Saturday Everyone! I am very late getting here today. The morning started off pretty routine but then my best friend called and we had a 2 hour marathon phone call. We haven't spoken in awhile so we had lots to catch up on. Would you believe we probably could have talked longer if one of us didn't have to hang up. Gosh I miss her. We both moved to be closer to our grandchildren so the time we spend together isn't as frequent as we'd like. So, to make the best of it we do these marathon phone calls occasionally. Of course we keep in touch through texting and Facebook but it just isn't the same as an actual conversation. So, after we hung up I was feeling a bit melancholy. My daughter went to a friends barbecue so it's just me and the pups. I noticed the bananas were getting over ripe so I decided to make banana bread. Haven't made it in awhile but it will make the house smell really good and of course use up those bananas so I don't have to throw them out. Hopefully the banana bread will help cheer me up and I'll get over this melancholy feeling. Hope everyone is enjoying their Saturday. Is the weather nice where you are? It's a perfect summer day here.
