Blackberry Jam and Biscuit Breakfast

Made a biscuit breakfast earlier with blackberry jam and butter. I cook biscuits and sausage gravy from time to time. But this morning I just wanted a buttered biscuit. The blackberry jam was a bonus.
Funny that reminded me of the saying, "well butter my butt and call me a biscuit". Have you heard that one before? It's an expression used to express wonder or amazement at something unexpected.

I know that they were delicious. I do miss hot buttered biscuits with jam. I rarely have them because I'm a diabetic.

I love that expression, it's so southern! I would love to have one of your homemade biscuits. I don't make them well and now my husband can't have them anyway (gluten.)

I have heard that expression..mostly on TV though...lol. Although wouldn't be surprised if some of the natives around here use it. Blackberry jam and biscuits sound yummy.

Looks yummy. No, I've never heard that saying! Tomorrow is going to be 88, then the temps will be in the high 70s and 80. No more 90s for right now. Knock on wood.
