I've lost 100 notifications ....

Good morning friends.... Hope yo had a great weekend....
I had over 100 notifications last Friday and now it's all gone and only 10 left. Heard that the notifications last only for 7 days. Is that true?
Seems like I have to go to my posts and check for comments or else, leave it and go ahead with new notifications.....

Yes, they disappear after 7 days. I have lost several of mine, because I didn't manage to read them before they disappeared.

Yes that's happened to me before because I didn;t realise. I thought they would stay there permanently. Live and learn I guess

@amandajay I always thought it was 2 weeks and then I noticed after going on holiday for a week that they had all disappeared!

Yes, notifications automatically disappear once they are 7 days old. You might find it useful to check the activity of people you follow from the 'Follows' menu.
