How do you feed your dog medicine?

Long time when we had a dog, I found it was not easy to feed him the medicine because dogs had good sense of smell. I had to use the bread or other food to roll the medicine and then feed our dog. Sometimes he would just eat the food and then spit the pill. So we had to use more food as the tricks

Luna as been ill lately. We made a hole in the inside of half a hotdog and placed the pill there. We went to where she was and let her smell it and a couple of dog cookies. I first gave her the hotdog (pill side first) and then caught her by the collar so that she would be interested in the cookies before she played with the meat.

Our dog likes a certain kind of meat spread. When we hide the medication inside he usually eats it.

@youless Yes, I think it often works well, but sometimes the dog eats the food and spits out the medication
