Sorry I have never been in a long distance relationship.

I was for about 5 years and it worked for us until we decided we wanted to move forward with our lives and he wasn't able to immigrate to my country so we ended it. I wasn't ready to move there because my children and grandchildren are here. It all depends on your situation and how much you are willing to put into it. I do know many who were in long distance relationships and are now married and living happy lives. They do work for some.
