It doesn't snow in Melbourne, Australia except for the mountains and some higher regions within the state during winter. As we are reaching the tail end of winter and into spring, that's when weather usually gets even more erratic than what Melbourne weather is known for.
Over the weekend, there was a predicted icy blast and some areas snowed. That morning people were posting photos. We didn't get there until around lunch time and virtually all the snow has gone, sniff. Melted by the noon time sun and then washed away by the rain. Oh well. Maybe a Christmas holiday in Canada/US/Europe won't be a bad idea?
Where to go for white christmas?

Oh really? That's interesting! Wish I could visit Canada a few years from now. :) Our Christmas in OZ is the height of summer. Even though I grew up in the Philippines we still associate Christmas with snow because of the songs, and decors, and Santa. :D So I would really love to experience white Christmas

Neither have I. There is snow in the mountains but not in lowlands. Ski resorts are pricey as ever. So if I were to go, it had to be after I have saved up.

In some really high altitude areas, yes, we get snow. I think Tasmania does too being so close to the South Pole. But in Melbourne only the mountains and occasionally some countryside gets them. So rarely though. Like I said, I missed it.

Michigan is good for a white Christmas but with the weird weather the globe had been getting there are no guarantees for snow.
BTW, I decided to pay you a visit since I've never seen your here before. I see you started with the old mylot and maybe you've only returned in the recent past?
Never mind. Looking at your discussions you've come and visited for a few months quite a few years and may year you stayed the longest or at least wrote the most.
I take breaks from the site too just shorter ones.

Hi Marsha, oh yes, I come and go as I please
Think I started in 2008 or 9 can't really remember.
I hibernate for months or even years and come back. There was a time myLot disappeared too. I wasn't around to witness that. The next time I came on, it was back again. Still see some familiar people but most of those I made friends with have signed off for good. Sad but....we all move on.

Have you ever seen snow? Here in Finland, we do have snow, lots of it, every single winter. Except last few years not so much like in my childhood 30 years ago. At the moment we are living a summer season here (without a summer, just rain). The winter usually starts around November. So if you wish to see the snow and are willing to travel to the other side of the world, you are welcome to Finland to see the snow :D

I would love to see snow but more so to visit Finland. Such a beautiful country. Could it be the snowless winter you have is due to climate change?
