i wrote this discussion because it just crossed my mind this thought.
i have said this to several female mylotters who do not show their real pictures and those who have pretty names.
this may sound riduculous to some, but believe me, i always imagined most female mylotters very young until they mentioned 'granddaughters, grandson and so on.
for males who show their real pics, yah, am given an idea.of your real ages somehow.

Most are older than their 30's from what I have seen and read. Age is just a number in my book though-experiences are more important than a number. =)

What i notice that mostly are not young with whom i intrected and i don't know they are grandmother or not but they old and they have pets. I miss my friend who is very Old like in 70 because i like to intreact with her as we keep intreacting as long as possible.

I have met mylotters who are in their early 20s and mylotters who are younger than 20, but I think that many members are older than that.

Haha, I'm getting on a bit now and don't really want to put up my real picture. I always build up a mental picture of people in my mind.and I'm often surprised when I find out the age of a person.

I don't know how many younger my lotters there are but I have noticed from the posts and responses that many are older or retirees. I think the sites friendliness and people easily connecting here plays a role in the number of older folks represented.

I wonder why you thought that. Are you a teenager yourself, assuming everyone else here is of a similar age? Is it the way that people write?
People often think I am younger than I am, and are often surprised when I tell them I have grandchildren. Apparently, I don't look my age.
There is a good mix of ages here but I think most of my interactions are with people older than myself.

@Janet357 Ah, yes, I also often get mistaken for a man when I don't have a profile picture! I am grandmother. I feel the same as you - I am a little younger than you but prefer to act younger. I have a son who is 19, and he is far more mature than I am

I am old enough to be a mother, but I am not one. I do not think I ever intend to be either.
I sometimes am unsure of the page of the person I am interacting with, but that doesn't bother me.
