So, roomie came back yesterday it was I believe, anyway..I already thought his room looked like a grocery store, but he had several bags of food with him..He also has the freezer loaded with chicken. Today to my astonishment I saw him bringing more food bags in the house. I said more food? He said, well, I am prepared for the next couple of weeks..it looks more like he is preparing to survive the winter... Luckily he keeps everything neatly stocked and properly stored. It would be a big problem if he didn't. I guess if the nuclear holocaust hits..we will be just fine here. It reminds me of when friend went to Alaska for a few days. I was dog sitting. He brought down like 30 cans of wet food, and a bag of dry..Oh please! All this for a tiny little chichaua type..lol.

Well send him my way. I don't love to go grocery shopping. I pay someone else to do when I can.

Wow, really? I love g shopping, especially if it is a place I don't usually go. The only time I don't want to, is if I am tired, or the weather is bad.

@snowy22315 Well I don't live by any stores so it's a big drive that may make it less enjoyable.

Your roomie is well-prepared. I'm sure you didn't run out of food for the dog.

My sister lost power for 2 weeks after Hurricane Sandy. She had her kitchen freezer and a basement freezer FILLED to the brim and she lost everything. She said that she would never stock up like that again.

Oh wow, I didn't think of that. We get effects from hurricanes here too..but generally nothing terribly drastic..the worst problem is flooding. Where I am is on high ground though..so it isn't an issue, although if the ground is saturated with rain, a tree could also fall over on a power line with just a little wind.

You're saying 'no worries if there is a holocaust'. I'm saying 'I hope he is the sharing kind'.
