How to Approach ???

I have got my Full-time work from next week and there's one another thing that I have to fulfill to lodge my Residency application here.
I currently get paid $22 per hour and but it has to be $25 to be qualified for Residency.
I need to talk with my boss about this, but don't know how to approach. I don't want to pissed him off. haha

Hopefully you can explain your situation and see what he says. Do you have to make $25 as well as your husband? Or one or the other to apply for residency?

@amandajay Oh I see. I converted USD and its about $15.XX a hour salary. I hope you can get your boss to raise your salary.

no that's only for me. it should be NZ$25 per hour or 52K annual salary

The worst he can do is say no. What would a Residency application get you? What is it for? You are being paid well.

that's the requirement to apply for residency here. minimum salary should be $25 per hour

I guess there is no other way but to confront your boss and tell him about your situation here and maybe he can help you with that situation. I think you just need to find a good timing on when to bring this up. I think $3 increase would not hurt the business that much just to accommodate your residency there.
