Notes On The Kennedy Clan

Anyone even remotely familiar w/U.S. politics knows of the Kennedy clan.
It's also well known that the Kennedy's have suffered several major tragedies.
Some ages ago, some fairly recent. This has led some people to claim that the Kennedy clan struck a deal with the devil, and that that's why they've suffered so much.
When I read claims like that, I don't even know what to say. Except, I'm sure the remaining family finds the claims highly offensive.

I wonder if people who talk about the 'Kennedy curse' ever consider the following...
Firstly, they are a very large family. More people.= more chance of someone amongst them having bad luck.
Secondly, they have been in the public eye for many decades so more time for highly-publicised (and remembered) tragedies.
Thirdly, famous/wealthy people often indulge in activities or end up in situations with more danger/risk involved, in addition to those which affect 'ordinary' folk.

I've heard of the Kennedy curse but not that they made a deal with the devil. I would find it offensive too! They have had some really bad luck.
