Keeping a journal

I am keeping a journal of my feelings and everything that happens. I do this because my memory is very bad. If I don't write things down, I will forget whole days. I was neglected by a CNA that works with an outside agency to staff our home. I wrote it all down so I wouldn't forget.
I was incontinent at 12 and waited for a check and change round to be done. I was even more wet at 12 and 1. I wanted to see if the aide would check me or not.
I put my light on at 3:15 am. She came in and I asked her when she was going to make a round. She said she was fixing to. I said I hadn't been checked or changed in 5 hours. She tried to deny it. She said I was saying she want doing her job.
I said those were not my words. I said she did not check or change me. I said everyone else changes me on a timely manner, and why couldn't she.
She didn't have much to say after that. She is not new to this facility, but our staff finds her residents beds soaked where she doesn't change them. She has now been put on the Do Not Return list.

It's good that you are keeping a journal. I'm a journal/planner addict and I don't only keep one journal. I have one planner for work, one planner for my dog, one traveller's journal, one passport size traveler's journal for my thoughts, and one pocket size diary. I use them all together.

@OreoBrownie I am such a planner and journal addict and I just enjoy decorating them with stamps, stickers and washis. They're like art to me.

I would get confused. But I am glad you keep track of everything.

Keeping a journal in those circumstances is a very good idea. I'm glad she won't be back.

I am also glad. No one had wrote her up like I did before.

It sounds like you reported things and you are getting better care now. That is very good news.
