Uber/Lyft "Extreme Couponing"?

I have never used Uber or Lyft because it is not available in my area. However, my boyfriend and I are planning on taking a trip to Florida within the next couple of months. Our airport to airbnb ride is expected to be around $30 (will only be taken twice) and the airbnb to Universal is expected to be around $14/each way, around 4 times. I see so many people getting extreme discounts through either Uber or Lyft, so I was wondering if anyone here had any tips. It would still be far cheaper than a Taxi or other forms of public transport, so we're not extremely worried about it, but just curious if we could be slightly more frugal on our vacation. Also, is there an incentive for new users? I frequently see "$50 off your first ride", but not sure if that's something always available.
