Rented a great movie last night. Bohemian Rhapsody. Got a coupon in my email for $1.25 off any Redbox movie. This happened last weekend as well. So this movie was only .50 to rent. And well worth the pennies.
The story of the legendary rock band Queen and lead singer Freddie Mercury, leading up to their famous performance at Live Aid (1985). I always enjoyed Queen's music.
It is such a shame the choices some of the musicians make and their lives are cut short. So much talent gone forever. The lifestyle they live in order to perform like they do sometimes forces some of these decisions. But others are able to stay away from all the drugs and drinking.
Either way, I really enjoy Rami Malek's performance in this movie. He really had Freddie Mercury's persona down. I really liked him in the series Mr. Robot, and he earned several awards tforhis movie. He won an Academy award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role. And a Golden Globe award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture, and others as well.
