A man named Ed came up on my "People You May Know" list this morning on Facebook.I knew the man when I was pretty young, and I remember him as a hot headed wife abuser. I vividly remember him getting so angry he was red in the face w/rage, and him screaming like a banshee at his wife, although I don't do well remembering a lot of conversation details from that early in my life. His wife used to babysit me, and I remember her as being a very caring, introverted woman. Seeing as it's been a lot of years, it's possible the man has changed, but I remember he terrified me as a kid. He's been out of my life for over 25 years, I don't know whether I should even try to give him a chance to be in it again, or keep that door shut tight forever. Advice/suggestions?

JNR, even if this man has changed his ways for the better, does it really benefit you to give him a chance to be in your life once again? Is it worth the risk?

Personally I wouldn't open that door again; but the final decision is up to you.
