Forgiveness Is a Gift from God

My family went to the Church to attend its Sunday services. We used our family service versavan driven by our son-in-law.
We arrived at the Church and we witnessed the confirmation of the Church membership of the four newly baptized members.
As we were about to partake the Sacrament, we sang the hymn, *"As Now We Take the Sacrament" while the piano was played by a sister.
The message from the hymn is focused on forgiveness which is a gift from God.
Here are the part of the lyrics of that hymn:
"As now our minds review the past,
We know we must repent;
The way to thee is righteousness—
The way thy life was spent.
Forgiveness is a gift from thee
We seek with pure intent.
With hands now pledged to do thy work,
We take the sacrament"

I confirm it too. Have you experienced of forgiving someone who offended you? What is your feeling afterwards?

@Starkinds I like your idea. You have the point. When someone is unforgiving, he is troubled. He is sad. But once he has forgiven those who trespass against him, he will no longer be sad.

@Nakitakona yes that is true to forgive someone is more difficult but it is the easiest way to come out from your sadness

Sometimes i wonder why forgiveness is so hard to some people. But i admit to myself, it's really not that easy.

That's the reality my friend. Forgiveness is not easy or difficult to grant to the offender when the offense is great. It's easy when it's a just a minor one.

I do agree with you. Every time we go to Church we are spiritually uplifted. Our souls have been feed of spiritual foods from the scriptures.
