Boston Anniversary

Many of my friends know that Friday, August 16th was our wedding anniversary, and that my husband and I spent the weekend in Boston, Massachusetts, a favorite city of ours.
The ride up was easy going. The weather was perfect. Our hotel upgraded our room. And I had an appointment to turn in my handbag due to a lining issue for a new one.
So our first order of business was to Louis Vuitton, steps from our hotel in the mall of Copley Place. I had to speak to a manager, who in turn introduced me to Tia, who was so helpful. He helped me select three “new” bags. I loved them all, but could only buy one. My old bag paid for half. While Tia was wrapping my bag, he offered us champagne and bottles of French fizzy water. We enjoyed talking to him about Brazil and travels.
We dropped the bag off in our room and headed to our favorite Friday night in Boston restaurant, which we skipped last year. Our waitress greeted us with a huge Hello and hugs! She told me that she remembered us from all our other visits over the years thanks to my pretty makeup.
It was what I call a perfect anniversary. My husband agrees.

@Tampa_girl7 It’s navy blue with lots of gold chatchkas hanging off it. Still unopened.

Would say it was a perfect anniversary indeed. Mentioning LV maid me remember about an article I read in the newspaper written by one disappointed woman when she went into the LV store here. The staff was so rude at her that she went off to buy a knockoff instead.

@DianneN She wanted to piss off the brand itself. She could afford it but the staff was very rude to her. She was told the one she wanted was already sold but when another woman came in, it was given to her. NO reservation is allowed in LV shops here. But that woman just looked richer than her and the staff thought she simply didn't have the money to buy one and just wanted to look at it.

@toniganzon I've had bags held for me. We were in Hawaii at two different times, and the one bag I wanted was either on hold or we lucked out and a new shipment arrived another time. They wouldn't ship to the USA. Were you with her when she went to the LV shop?
It reminds me of something that happened to our younger son when he was 16 years old and on a school trip through Europe. He wanted to buy me a gift at Cartier in Paris. He walked into the store wearing jeans, a flannel shirt, and a baseball cap. They refused to wait on him. He was very upset, but I told him he couldn't afford a thing in that store, but appreciated his thoughtfulness.

I had to call the man who originally called me about the bag at a LV in Texas. I told him what store I would be in and what days. He called the store and let them know I’d be there Friday or Saturday. It was so easy! It’s a good thing I went on Friday, because there were huge lines outside the store all day on Saturday. And I mean ALL day. I’m not good with long lines.
