we have a marble flooring and a costly 1 so we prefer not to put anything on that as it has its own beauty

i like these big, white, polished tiles that are so in now here. it doesn't need a lot of waxing later. you just have to mop or sweep it and it's clean!

We considered wood flooring when we built our house, but we ended up with carpet and ceramic tile. The living room in my daughter's house is wood, and we noticed it always looks dusty and scratched, and unkempt. We didn't want the extra upkeep. Carpet is also warmer in the winter,and today when the wind chills are supposed to go to -20, I glad of all the warmth I can get. Wood flooring was the rage when I was a little girl. Then it went out of style. Carpet has always been in and probably always will be. I do love the tile in my kitchen, bathrooms and foyer, though.

I have always liked carpet and have it in all but one bedroom in our home as my daughter wanted laminate flooring! Mind you she only stayed in the bedroom for one night, such a waste! lol It depends on the wood as some look nicer than others and I would have wood next time and not the laminate. But would still have carpet as well.

I like the look of wood or tiles on the floor. But I like carpeting, as it is soft.

I prefer to have wood flooring for three reasons. It looks nice and is easy to maintain and clean. If a soy sauce spilled on the floor, all I need to do is wipe it. I also prefer it for health reason, I have family members who are asthmatic and carpets are a no! no!

I prefer hardwood flooring. It is so easy to clean too. My husband wants to have cork or bamboo on the floors.

If I were be able to choose I'll choose flooring made of wood because it really adds a wonderful look in your house. It adds sophistication on your interiors and all your furnitures matches it. But wood floorings is not that suited for city type houses because if you are working and too busy on a lot of stuffs it will not work for you. Although tiles would be a great match on a busy home because you'll spend a little time cleaning it because it's so easy to clean. A carpet needs househelpers too, it would be great for those upper class people. And just too expensive because you'll need a vacuum cleaner first before you can clean it.
