Hello and Good morning to you all.
I hope your day is coming along well. Mine is quite okay and quite frustrating. We have some emergency maintainance work going on in our apartment. I presume, it's seriously emergency coz they just notified some half an hour before they started with the work.
Managing all the house hold chores with a kid and with no water is a bit challenging. My husband is really matured enough to accept this and move on. I kept ranting for a while and now I'm also understanding that what else will they do.
We're just waiting to see few drops from the tap. They'd mentioned that the service will resume from 2pm(maintenance window from 9:30 am to 2pm). I'm really waiting with a bit of hope that it will be fixed soon.
This apart, I'm just thinking how water plays a great role in our life. I mean, it's strange and frustrating , to even think of not having some water left in your house. My husband just reminded that - "see how water is crucial for us and we should never ever waste a bit of it..". I completely accept and we're knocked off when we have the water scarcity. We should really consider to use water judiciously in which ever situation we may be.
Now, have you had this situation in your life where you'd to manage with no or very little water left in your house? How did you react to it.
Wishing you all a happy day and happy weekend ahead.

That is so frustrating, and I hope your water is returned soon. We don't realize how much we use it until we have none.
We have a well, so finally put in a generator to work the pumps and everything else when we lose power. It's a lifesaver!

Yeah. We got the service on the same day itself.
Very true. We realize only when we don't have them in hand.
Oh that's good to have a well. It surely saves our life.

@DianneN Yeah. They could have notified us earlier, may be they didn't have the situation in their control.
Having well is really good. As of now, we're in community apartments. I guess there is no well facility in here. I'm not too sure though...

@smileyhema I’m so glad your water is back. Too bad they couldn’t let you know sooner so that you could fill some pots and the tub with water.
The well is wonderful to have, but we have city water at our place in Florida. I suppose they can turn off the water there, too.

@smileyhema They have been like 3 or 4 occasions in my life where the water had to be turned off for one reason or another but still got through it fine. I wasn't really bothered. Thankfully it wasn't too inconvenient but I do know it can be inconvenient for some depending on the person and situation.

Oh bad that you'd to go through similar situation. But also good that you were able to manage that easily.
Yeah, water outage for more than a day could be so annoying. Luckily, we had just for a few hours.

Nope..We weren't prepared. Infact, my husband just missed the mail they sent a couple of minutes before holding the service.
It was me who signalled my husband that there is no water coming in the taps. He quickly went through his mails and saw that this mail has come.
We couldn't act more fast to save water. In fact, we had the cold water supply for a while. Somehow we managed.

Oh okay. Could you brief on that phenomenon?
Good that you've more water supply now.. in fact, we've to start storing the excessive water for future purpose. I mean kind of water harvesting..

@ilocosboy Oh okay I get it. Like summer and winter? Yes, there should be moderate level of water for farmers.

We have two weather phenomenon here, the El Nino phenomenon and the La Nina phenomenon. The El Nino is when there is excessive drought in the area felt usually during summer and the La Nina which is too much water in the area. Both of them are not good to farmers.

@dya80dya Yeah. That's bad, isn't it? But, this reminds me that we should reserve some water on a daily basis. We never know what happens next and we are the ones who will suffer during the crisis.

its a difficult situation and people know value of thighs while it with not them. People who stay at home has to face it because can't do anything without water. Water is very valuable source of nature and i feel blessed that we get it in free and not in that situation.

Yes, you are absolutely right. We will come to know the value of things only when it's not with us or available when in need.
Hmm good for you, then!

Exactly. That's very crucial for us. I started to learn that we should never take an advantage of it and misuse them.

Exactly. We should be notified atleast the day prior to this. But, not sure what was the plan at their end. Yeah, we could buy bottled water. May be, that's the other option we couldn't have done if the issue prolonged for a couple of hours more.
