When do you put your July 4 decorations away?

One of the things that struck me as rather odd was yesterday while mystery shopping I saw that the office had July 4 decorations up?? Umm, most people have turned their attention to the fall..and it seemed pretty strange seeing them. I mentioned it to a staff member who said..well Labor Day is coming up... I have never seen anyone decorate for Labor Day, and if they did, it would be in a fall theme..almost certainly. Umm, OK..take down your decorations, and if you don't have time yet to decorate for fall, it would be better to have nothing..do you agree?

I mean, Memorial Day, Flag Day, 4th of July..flag themed holidays..but not Labor Day. I just thought it was strange, but it was a strange visit overall.

I fully agree, better no decorations at all that to let the decorations hanging for months.

Yes, it was a bit on the odd side. Sometimes people let Christmas decorations go into the next month or longer..but not 4th of July..long gone!

@snowy22315 The only decorations I see here are the Christmas decorations and the Easter decorations.

Hmm I guess they put them out for Labor Day like the staff member said. That’s a nice idea as long as they put them away through most of August then put them back out recently.

No, they have just been hanging out there since July 4. Labor Day is not really known as a patriotic holiday.

@snowy22315 that would drive me nuts then. When I used to decorate for the 4th of July when my kids were little I took the decorations down on the 5th.

Yes, a flag is a little different. You see those all year sometimes.

I decorate sometimes, especially if I have people coming over.
