yesterday, i just commuted. by the time i was on my way to hubby's office, heavy rain fell. my shoes were all wet so by the time i arrived at my husband's office, i borrowed his huge shirt and short pants so that i looked like , i was inside the sack. we headed back home afterwards. i washed my shoes and dried them with our industrial fan overnight. have you ever done this?

No, I never did this, but I usually wear boots when it rains, my leather shoes would be totally ruined.

@Janet357 No it is not Winter here, it is Summer now, as the rest of Europe. It is still nice and warm. We have 4 seasons here in Europe. Winter starts the 21st of December.

I put my shoes over my vent to get dry. Or I put them in the dryer on low.

no never use electric fan or iron to dry things because i have other pair so it's ok if it takes time, for clothes we mostly use a washing machine dryer.

Yes that’s the usual way to hasten the drying of shoes. Some put their wet shoes at the back of refrigerator because it’s hotter there and drying them there is much more faster too.

Not overnight but in the moment of like if I spilled something & go to the restroom to wash it off and I'd use the blower to try to dry my shirt but it is still wet.

I have put sneakers in the clothes dryer before, but any other kind of shoe gets air dried.I also use the dryer to dry clothes, unless it's a bathing suit and I've been swimming, then I hang dry it.
