i bet, we are happy being females!!
however, sometimes, given the environment i have been brought up in (i am from india), i do feel males enjoy lot of safety on streets than we do.

well, i do kinda because of the fact that i dont know how to talk to the ladies. when we guys like a girl we have to be the ones going over and start talking, so we have more the nervousness. we dont even know if the girl might like us back.

No it's never even occured to me to wonder. I really like being female, always have. Perhaps in previous centuries women were at a disadvantage, but the 21st century is the century of women! There is a woman in power oin Germany, hopefully France and America too will follow and elect women.

i really appreciate. what you said is absolutely correct. even in our country women power has emerged as a dominant force in goverment, sports and defence. hwever, the common female folk is still bit apprehensive about their positio and they are still the weaker gender.
as regards me, i am not perturbed by this. only thing is my parents had been hesitant to let me travel all by myself and i just wished i could be a man ! that's it.

yes, i can relate to that. the professionals face a lot of problems like that the doctors suffer the most. it's pity that ppl seem to have less trust in the competence of a lady surgeon.
anyways, you have sail through this and try to earn trust. i am sure gonna make it in no time.

well actually in the past i really want to be a guy because like you my parents, especially my dad will not allow me to travel to far places with my friends because of the fact that i am a girl.. my brothers were allowed however because they thought that my brothers can take care of themselves.. i hated it because they always seem to tell me that i am weak and i have no defense against wrongdoers, addicts and rapists.. but by the grace of God when i grew older and i proved to them that i can handle myself and that i can conquer what my brothers have conquered they realize that they were wrong and so they arent so hard at me at all in the present..

I love being who I am.Never fantasized being a woman but it would be untrue to say I was never tickled by the thought of what women think or how they feel, lol. If the genie grants my wish then perhaps I'd like to try it out for a day just out of curiosity ,lol. However,if there is an alternative to pick their brains ,I'd rather prefer that.Hope Mel Gibson won't feel challanged :-P.Otherwise,I am okay being a man.

No I don't got any problems with my gender. I'm okay with who I am. Actually, I do wonder how it's like to be a male at some points. Must be really easy for them, sometimes.

yes, in my country, we do have a lot of problems convincing our parents to travel alone.
but then exception proves the rule.

Never! Why should we bother about our gender if we cannot change it? Moreover, it is possible nowadays to act according to your true nature, as the society has become so accommodative. It must trouble someone only when something is denied, or life becomes difficult just because someone belongs to a particular gender. But even in those cases, one should not lose hope and take it as mission in life to address it and defy it if needed.

i didnot mean it that way. this discussion is only meant for those who seem to face difficulty for their gender. like just the post previous to yours. and dear, there are so many things we cannot change but does kit mean that we stop thinking about them ?
anyways, thank you for your input.

I love being a woman and I wouldn't be a man for nothing at all...but I must admit that sometimes I envy men a bit...I envy them the fact that they can walk on their own without being disturbed even at night and when it is dark and they are alone...instead we all know as women how difficult is for us walk lonely and how men can look at us and make us fell unsafe...I don't like feeling unsafe or observed...I wish I could do something but any woman can understand what I mean...we need to be more careful, above all if you are thin and small like me...there is another fact I envy men...if they are strong and determinate, they are called ambitious and number one..if you are a woman and are successful, well you are a witch!!!!
