Just Some Coffee Talk

Happy Wednesday Everyone! It's a bit on the cloudy side here this morning. That doesn't stop the lawn crew from coming bright and early to do the lawn. It's fairly loud as they ride around on their mowers so they're better than an alarm clock.
Today I'm going to have lunch with my oldest daughter. We haven't had alone time together since the summer began. With the kids home all summer it was pretty busy and we did spend lots of time together but not just the two of us.
Now that school is back in session life is slowly getting back to normal. Now it will be holidays or weekends to see the grandchildren.
Speaking of holidays....this upcoming weekend is Labor Day here in the US. A nice big long weekend and the unofficial end to summer.
My youngest daughter will be home from her vacation by Saturday and she'll be happy to have a few days before she has to go back to work.
Other than that, nothing much going on here.
Life is good...I woke up, thanked the Lord for another day and will enjoy my coffee while we chat.

@Marilynda1225 I am hoping the same. I am glad it didn't cause damage to Puerto Rico. They have enough problems with still recovering from the last hurricane that decided to visit them.

Thanks, I will be seeing my son either this weekend or on Tuesday. My sister wants to visit..but hasn't decided yet about coming down..She says she has been having to get up at 6AM for training in regard to her work,,as she has to go to another part of the city. Have fun with your kids!

Good morning, I am sure that your daughter is looking forward to spending time alone with you today also.
We're looking forward to the long Labour Day weekend this weekend also, it signifies the unofficial end of summer since the school bells will all be ringing next Tuesday. We view Thanksgiving, which is in October as the true end to summer. That is when people have their final gathering at their cottage or camper and finish up all of their outside work for the season.
Our son has to stand up in a wedding out of town this weekend.

Our son is not looking forward to standing up in this wedding. He isn't the closest of friends to him, and he lives 4 hours away from our son. Our daughter-in-law has only met him briefly, so as a groom is was asking a lot of our son to stand up for him. I don't think that he has many friends, our son basically indicated that to us.

Labor Day here is just unoffical end to summer even though all public beaches remove the lifeguards, etc. Normally the weather is still pretty nice through September.
Hope your son has a good time at the wedding this weekend.
