What's your relaxation strategy?

The first is a puzzle I finished in the Facebook game. I use two different puzzle types on there this one is called Just Jigsaws, the other one I do less often is Jigsaw World. I also play Gummy Drop on there. When I get stuck or out of lives on gummy drop, which btw is similar to candy crush, then I might begin a puzzle. I prefer abstract designs although I do both from time to time. I like doing actual puzzles at a table but I have no table free of business paperwork at present. Then there are all the weeds in my flower beds. This is the first year I've waited until now to begin pulling them out. Although, I did have my employee work on there areas early summer. He weeded and then put down the barrier and covered it work wood chips. Unfortunately, weeds continues to grow in the of the three areas with the chips plus they grew all around my flowers. Years ago someone told me that if I didn't plant flowers in the place of the weeds the bare spots would continue to growing weeds. This year I heard that it takes a few years of consistently spraying the weeds before they taper off. I may wait two more years before planting and before purring more wood chips into the beds in the hopes that less and less weeds will crop up. I don't mind weeding although until now I've not done much since my knee has still been healing. Weeding is a way for me to stretch out my back too. Maybe by next year I can stop and weed. Too bad I don't find doing paperwork a way to relax. I needed to get at that soon as I'm going back to work next week.

Yes I realized a good nap or normal sleep is the best way to relax.

Take a long walk under shady trees in the park, I'd think. I proved it works.

Walking would be relaxing especially when your can walk in natural surroundings. I've not been able to walk for pleasure for the past several years. Now that I have two new knees maybe that's now feasible Our City built a canopy walk last fall and I'm hoping to walk that before winter and colder weather.

It sounds like you are doing well with your plants. My weeds can push through anything.

Most of the green in the other three pics are all weeds. Any plants I have are done blooming so it's hard to tell where they are. I know but you may not. If the weeds come up less and less each year assuming we have the time to treat them and get more out, then I can begin planting again. Most of my weeds are an odd grass with Tassels but still a weed.

If I feel the need to relax I lay back in my bed and either read or just close my eyes and lay still for awhile.

At present I also take a nap almost every afternoon. I'm hoping once I'm back to work I'll be fine without. But, the things I mentioned are ways for me to relax and still accomplish something in the process. I do like reading a good book but I've done less of that these past years since I've been the main one running our business.

I love puzzles and do them on the computer often. I used to do the papers ones and I had a lot behind glass for a pretty picture. I think I have a bunch in the basement glued so they won't fall apart..., I think I'll take them to the charity shops. I enjoyed doing them for a few years and now I think its time lost. I still love them on the computer..not paper...

It is time lost but it may also be time that helps keep the brain active so we don't get any memory issues. I'm trying to do things around my puzzling time when odd and otherwise I've got the crew out on jobs and do this instead of reason or watching TV.

I am not a big fan of weeding. When I want to relax, I usually get a book, sit under the porch and I read.

weeds'll grow anywhere :) lots depends'n what sort'a weeds they'd be - come back from seed, 'r perennials. here i battle bermuda grass growin' e'rywhere 't ought not...wish the hubs'd ne'er planted that nasty schtuff! i don't find anythin''n the puter relaxin'. do like to sit out'n the porch, listen to the waterfall 'n watch the critters. most oft with camera'n hand.
