I grew up in a town where Labor Day was the biggest holiday of all. It occurs to me that none of the things that made it special to our community had to do with Honoring American labor movement and the contributions that workers have made to the strength, prosperity, laws, and well-being of the country.
It was all about the county fair, the rodeo, and the parade. It is amazing how many people go back year after year. I would probably be there tomorrow, but I have to work. There will be phone calls on September 2nd asking me where I was.
If you live in the United States do you do anything to honor the labor movement?

Just by observing the holiday and thinking about what it means.
