Should the education be compulsory for boys and girls equally?

As a matter of fact,there is nothing so important in life as education.Some conservative people think that education should be compulsory only for boys only because they can go out of the house for service. My opinion is quite different from these old fashioned people, I think that the girls should not be educated for the service purpose only but an educated women may teach her own children very well.If a mother is not educated how she look after her children in a good way. The men generally go out for the work so a mother has to look after the children and their health. Epictetus says- Only the educated are free. Edmund Burke says- Education is the chief defence of nations. I think if a boy is educated one person is educated but if a girl is educated,the whole family is educated. There should be no discrimination between boys and girls in respect of education.
