Question about wisdom....

Today I had a long long debate with my boss, and surprisingly it has nothing to do with our work. He asked me, what exactly the wisdom is...??? There were other colleagues involved in the discussion but they left sooner when they realised, I have taken this question seriously. I mean why is wisdom taken so casually...??? For me, wisdom has enormous definitions and can be in accordance to an individual. For me wisdom is knowing oneself, finding the essence and living through it. What agitated me the most is, when he wanted me and other people to agree to his perspective... I mean why...??? On this note, it clicked my mind to hear what my lovely myLotters have to say about wisdom.....

It is not a discussion that people usually have. I would say that wisdom is the ability to use knowledge in a way that brings good results.

Wisdom is what M S Dhoni often uses. Anyways , just kidding, I think wisdom is what defines your decisions, and even how you react to situations

I think that wisdom is the ability to step back, to know oneself and to know when one's own opinions and emotions are not relevant - and when they are. It also involves knowledge and experience of a situation and the ability to apply them so that the action one takes (or advises others to take) leads to the solution to a problem which is the best for all concerned under the circumstances. I wonder what your boss's perspective was.

May be bossing around was his point of wisdom

@Aansh13 As in "I'm the boss. Your wisdom lies in not forgetting that!"

Wisdom is a knowledge beyond the surface and common sense. It is a deeper understanding honed by experience overtime.
