the advantage of cooking with electric stove.. / myLot

since i got married, i have been using electric stove as stove annoys me a lot. when i still lived with my parents, they used gas stove and every time i turned it on, i could smell the gas, which was very bad for our lungs. also, they were always worried of leakage. a lot of house fire incidents were caused by gas leakage.so we really had to check before we left the house and went to bed, if the tank was turned off. well, with electric stove, you just unplug it and thats it. what do you use in cooking?

Same as @JudyEv, I cook using a gas stove since I was a young girl, I do not like electric stoves at all. Gas is safe, here all houses and apartments have gas, if it is perfectly safe.

I think gas there is installed already in houses, not the gas tank.

It's so easy to use electric stove unlike to gas stove and it's more safe too! But I'm still using gas stoves hehe

We have always had a gas stove and don't like electric stoves. If they are installed properly I think they are perfectly safe. f

@JudyEv Same as you Judy, I use natural gas, it's great, it's safe. I hate electric stoves, not good for Italian cooking for sure. Real Chefs only use gas to cook.

@LadyDuck The once we had to put with an electric stove, it took forever to heat up and just as long to cool down again. I'd never have an electric stove if I had the choice.

I prefer gas stove. Electric stove use a lot of electricity and so very expensive

I prefer electric stoves over gas stoves too. Like you I hate the smell of gas and always worry about the dangers of fire etc. I do have a portable gas stove the ones you use for camping for emergencies.

We have electric induction stove, rice cooker, lpg gas stove and a charcoal grill and fire pit at the back yard, they all serve different purposes, the lpg gas stove is used mainly for pressure cooking.

I have a gas stove and was going to replace it with as electric stove but when the electric went out for 17 hours last winter. The gas heater worked so we were not cold and the stove worked so we could fix meals.
