Got to get a new cell phone plan

I've been on my husband's plan (now ex-husband) since I moved out in April. Getting a cell phone plan was something that he told me wasn't a rush but that I should start trying to figure it out. I had more pressing matters on my mind and didn't really think about it again until he contacted me last month and asked me about my plans.
Then the divorce went through and my mind has just been in a bad place and on bad things. I just realized that likely has already paid the bill for September and hasn't said anything about it to me. . . probably because he knows I've been so upset.
Anyway I will probably stick with AT&T which isn't cheap but at least they already have my number and Apple Watch in their system. My ex mentioned another new company that was supposed to be really cheap but they don't support Apple Watches and I LOVE mine. I think this weekend I'll go to an AT&T store and get the process rolling to get off of his cell plan. That is the last thing that we are on jointly I believe.

Wow, I have been out of the loop for a long time! Didn't realize you and your now ex were on the outs.
I don't have an Apple Watch, nor have any idea of how to use it. LOL. I use Straight Talk for my phone. There are a few plans to choose from. Mine costs me $45 a month. Trying to get my husband to drop Verizon. He pays almost $95 a month for unlimited. Mine is unlimited.
Hope you are doing well. Breathe! Breathing is a good thing.

@NJChicaa I am glad that you can maintain a friendship. Often times that isn't the case.

I have AT&T as well. But I am on my mom's family plan. Not cheap but we have three iphones. In my house AT&T doesn't work well. Very bad reception. But with wi-fi calling turned on I can actually receive and make calls. Hubby has Verizon and his phone has better reception. But Verizon is a lot more expensive.

@NJChicaa As long as it works well reception-wise.

We have been looking at cell phone plans too. Our At&t bill just keeps getting higher and higher. I hate how At&t has so many fees and things on their bills. We pay $1.99 a month per line for some access fee that is pure junk. But they are reliable so we stay with them. Blah! I can remember when my plan was $19.99 a month and the actual bill was under $25. That was 20 years ago though. Its all tricky. Good luck on finding a great deal for you!

Cheaper doesnt mean better. I had a middle plan and it suits me even though i pay more a month its reliable.

@NJChicaa here Roger's has the best price wise but the service is crap! I'm with bell and pay $30 more a month but it always has service.

So sorry for the divorce issue. Yes, you might be able to get a better deal. We still use inexpensive phones and cheap plans.
Remember when no one had a cell phone? Or paid for cable? So many added expenses now! (We don't have cable, just Internet).

ATT doesn’t work well up here, I’m on Verizon definitely not cheap but I have three phones and A Galaxy Book On My Plan and when I couldn’t make it in to pay the bill until after Paisley was born they were understanding and told me I would be good for another three weeks! The service is awesome and despite the fact they aren’t cheap they are worth it!
