Sunset in Moose Jaw!

Our travels continue.
The camera holds many memories. We see spectacular sights that the camer just doesn't capture.
A mountain in the distance....the harvest of grain in the prairies.
Our timing seems to be great. Yesterday as the fields spread in front of us, we could see the harvest being gathered. The plumes of dust were combines
(Frank, for fans of the Disney Movie, "Cars"), working their way across the fields.
Grain elevators would be spotted in the distance......miles and miles of flat land spread out before us.
Meanwhile, back at our home we watch Hurricane Dorian approach. How much rain, and how strong a wind will we withstand. Neighbours will be checking.....but at the moment they are calling for 100-150mm (4-6") of rain...
If the storm tracks just a bit farther east we should be spared the brunt of it.
Worrying won't change a thing, so we pray it will move away from land and blow out over the Atlantic.

You've got a good support group back at home watching and keeping you advised, although really, there isn't much any of us can do when we are in the path of such a storm.
I know that you've been seeing lots and experiencing and making so many wonderful memories. Keep it up, its great to read a post as you venture along on your big drive across our countries.

Thank you! The next two days will be short days! The third day will be a marathon. We wanted to visit Jaspar, Alberta, but the timing makes the cost prohibitive. It'll be too cold to sleep in the van and the accommodations are outrageously expensive....so we are heading up the highway far enough that we can make it back before it's too dark to be driving mountain highways.
It was a compromise we decided would work for us.

I expect we'll have a house.....its flooding of the basement that could be catastrophic to me (my sewing room is in the basement....most of my things are up off the floor....but......

That is not good. Have you heard how your house is doing while away?

Our trip will continue. We will know on Sunday what the impacts were at home. I'm sure our friends will communicate with us if they can.

Only time will tell. Our home seems to be within th extreme danger zone. Not being able to see for ourselves is causing a bit of stress.

@crazyhorseladycx We looked at the national hurricane center maps.
Thank goodness our home was undamaged.

We found that the camera doesn't capture the depth of some of the beautiful scenes. Somehow we need 3D photos.

I've taken lots of photos. Some are better than others.

We're blowing really hard in an effort to get Dorian to shift a little more to the east for you. All we received here was a day of overcast skies. Not a drop of the rain that we could really, REALLY use right now!

Thank you. We appreciate any and all efforts. Some prayers wouldn't hurt either.

Not being home, I need to rely on the neighbours to keep us informed.
