My youngest sister is 10 years old and she started playing the ukulele yesterday. My second oldest sister and I went to music class with our 10 year old sister.
Yesterday as my sister and I was in music class yesterday our mom was getting our 10 year old sister a ukulele. Our 10 year old sister was wanting to play the guitar and ukulele but my mom said it would be best for her to play one at a time and so she let her choose witch one she wanted to play and she choose ukulele.
I play both electric and acoustic guitar but now my sister is playing ukulele and hopefully she will be the next one to play the guitar later on. I'm so glad my sister had finally choose the instrument the fits her the best. It has been several months since my mom and my sister and I had try to convince our sister to play a instrument and finally yesterday she choose to do so. ukulele was the one she decided to play!
Next is trying to get our brother into music and try to play a instrument him self. Our dad use to play the saxophone when he was around hopefully if he choose to do so he might be the next one to play the saxophone in the family.

I think the ukulele is such a cool instrument, I love the sound it produces! But of course, the saxophone is probably my all-time favorite musical instrument. I really wish I would have learned how to play the sax when I tried to take music lessons years ago. But unfortunately I have no musical talent whatsoever.

@nichole01art No worries. I may not be good at making music, but I am really good at listening to it! haha
When you play your guitar, what type of music do you like to play? Or what kind of music is your music teacher teaching you?

Uke is basically similar to a guitar minus the 2 bass strings, glad she made her choice.
