The butterflies will all be gone soon. Summer is slowly coming to an end. I was out dead heading the butterfly bush blooms earlier this morning. I keep a camera in my pocket all the time.
This black swallowtail butterfly decided to visit. He paid me no attention. So I was easily able to get a few photos of him. They are so beautiful in the sun with the black and hints of blue in their wings.
I will miss them when they leave. But caterpillars and new butterflies will appear in the spring. As they say, if nothing changed, there would be no butterflies.
Kind of sad knowing their lives are so short, but I enjoy every day I see them.

Pretty little butterfly. We get the monarch and yellow colored wings butterfly and lots of moths. Some people have butterfly release for weddings and other celebrations which brought the yellow winged butterflies to Oahu. I see them fluttering around now and then.

It's so delightful to see butterflies...do you see blue ones too? We don't have blue ones locally.

@CarolDM There really is, but you could give it a shot..if you are interested that is. Maybe even just create a webpage for your photography and offer some for purchase, you could say something like, enjoy and if your are so inclined purchase is accepted. I knew someone who was a nature photographer that gave most of his for university research.

@snowy22315 I have tried a few years back but not lately. Maybe I should. I have many framed on my wall. I have friends that have done a website and they say it is very hard to sell but who knows. I just enjoy nature so much. My Dad always loved my photos. He said he was so proud of his baby girl.
