Gaming Suggestions?

I'm interested in playing a new MMORPG. However, I don't have a lot of money on me right now, so my question is this: Are there any free-to-play MMORPG's out there that don't cost a lot of money to play? I just want something to play in m free time. Maybe make some new friends along the way.
Any suggestions?

It's something to do as a hobby. After a long day at work or school, I enjoy playing.
