Trump Administration: Medical personnel cannot be forced to assist in an abortion

On 28 Aug 2019 the Trump administration's Office of Civil Rights within the Department of Health and Human Services announced that it is illegal to force medical personnel to participate in an abortion when they personally oppose abortion.
The case arose because the University of Vermont Medical Center for threatening to fire a nurse if she did not assist an abortionist.

The HHS Office of Civil Rights sent a Notice of Violation letter to the U of Vermont Medical Center for forcing employees to assist with elective abortions.

Nurses are there to care for unwell people and help them to stay alive. A midwife assists in births of babies. I don't think a nurse should assist in an abortion.Elective abortions are done with an abortion pill up to 9 weeks pregnancy. Later in a pregnancy is surgical when the abortionist needs assistance.
