I don't consider myself politically correct. I do consider myself respectful of others. I stand up for what I believe in and clarify they are my opinions when asked. I don't do wrong things because it is considered "right" in today's world, whatever those may be.
I think, if we were honest with ourselves today, we'd all hire someone to do this. You know, be the person the world wants us to be so that we could just be left to our own faculties and relax. They could play "that role" as we say back home.
But still, life would be boring if everyone fell in line because it was the thing to do. Where would our faith be in...anything?
Question: What's the one thing people would LOVE for you to be PC about?

Whether,or not, political correctness is the decent way to be, the fact is political correctness builds walls.
In order for people of all backgrounds to get along, we have to be able to communicate freely and honestly.
If a person has to stop, and think of all possible ramifications of what he's about to say, or ask. It stymies communications. Questions not answered stew, and burn holes through things until it's too late to save them.

Love this input - when we hold back at times it can cause just as much confusion.

@thisweeksthought Political Correctness is a huge part of the reason America is in the fix it's in, now.
Lots of people voted for Trump solely because he wasn't politically correct. They were so angry with the meme, that they forgot all the negative things Trump stood for, simply because they way he spoke made them feel relieved.
The Democrats, and feminists, both would be much better off if they abandoned the silly concept. Think of Senator Al Franken.
How can anybody believe a female is a strong woman if the brush of someone's hand, or a tasteless joke, can send her to years of therapy.
I"m an extreme liberal, my single greatest hated political ideology is fascism, in all it's various forms.
Political Correctness is fascism from the left, by weak minded people.

Politically correct? That is just a made up word by people who want to justify and elevate their own political beliefs above others who disagree with them. I stand on my own political beliefs, not on what someone else tells me to believe.

I just wonder what is so wrong about being correct, whether politically so or not?
I see no point in causing offence to any sect or group of people by what I say or do, so I try to avoid so doing.
I agree that some people are remarkably thin-skinned, which is annoying, but that is their problem, not mine.

I feel that we have to stand up for what we believe ourselves and not let someone else do it for us.
