It's been a busy week or two for me. I've been working on Fridays and the rest of the week I spend being a wife and mother. My son gets homework twice a week that I help him with and he and I have started reading together he'll read a page and then I'll read one. My son loves books on science and some history. We are currently reading a book about the Titanic and he has one on typhoons that we plan to read after.
We have also been walking every day. I've been averaging 22 miles a week walking. I've enjoyed the walks with my son because we can talk. On top of all of that my son has OT on Tuesdays and starting soon, he'll start having den meetings for scouts. Tomorrow we are planning a family night where we'll watch a movie and play a couple of games. It's something we need to do. Sunday I have to walk up to the local church to get my son's scout neckerchief, slide, and hat at the traveling scout shop since the closest actual scout shop is twenty minutes away. We have been so busy we haven't even had a chance to have a home-cooked meal which I miss. We have been living on takeout and easy microwave meals due to not being home much to be able to cook because by the time we've been getting home lately it's bedtime. The school year is always so busy we rarely get downtime. I am hoping to start back on home-cooked decent meals soon. I hate living on takeout it's expensive and it's not healthy. I plan on having spaghetti soon and I'm craving some pork chops or meatloaf. We did have homemade chili recently which was amazing. I just hate being this crazy busy. I have a mostly lazy weekend apart from cleaning the apartment. I look forward to some quiet family time.

Busy indeed, can you please tell me what is the OT your son has, and what are the den meetings ?
What homework do you help your son with ? English? Math? Geometry?...
I suggest you can start letting him try a little harder at homework so eventually he can complete hw by himself. It will give you time. Do you have someone who can maybe help a little bit ?

OT stands for Occupational therapy he has it for his sensory processing disorder, he is a cub scout and they are broken down by age. My son is a bear scout and his den is the group he is in by age. The entire group made up of all of the boys is called a pack. My son usually has reading and math homework and he does it on his own first and I check it and help him on the ones he got wrong which doesn't always happen but does sometimes. I have a husband but he works and is tired at the end of the day so my son's homework is usually my responsibility. My son is only in third grade so there isn't any Geometry. He is currently working on stuff that I didn't do until like fifth or sixth grade though.

I haven't found a day to be able to do that, unfortunately. Our time is relatively limited. We are lucky when we have just enough time to spend together and maybe cook dinner once or twice a week. The school year is always so crazy busy. I am lucky to get any downtime here lately. I've been making a point to walk to most places just so my son and I get some time together to talk and so we can get some exercise.
