Is a debit card better than a credit card?

I am of the opinion that debit cards should be embraced more and that credit cards have to be used less often. One does not need to spend a great deal in case he/she has a debit card. One needs to take care of a lot of fronts if he or she uses a credit card.

Debit is utilizing funds that are available in the savings account. Credit card is used wheb there are no funds in the account and purchase has to be made on the basis of credit limit.

Both have advantage and disadvantage ,but I prefer debit depending based on my income as I am scared not being able to pay what I have utilized.

If you use a debit card it's like paying with cash so you can only spend what you have in your checking account. With a credit card, especially one with a high limit, you can end up spending more than you will be able to pay. For that reason debit cards are best. I rarely use it though. And most of the time I don't even pay with cash. I use a credit card instead because I get 1.5% cash back on it for every purchase I make. But when the bill comes at the end of the month it usually turns out higher than I anticipated or wanted to spend. Good thing I am always able to pay off what I charge on it.

I don't have any credit card. If I will get the credit card then am sure I will not maintain any limits while purchase.

I've never had a debit card before.
I'm responsible when it comes to spending money. Hence, their's nothing wrong with me having a credit card.
