Its A Waste To Buy Me........

Each year of life will change the things you like and wear, even eat.
Once upon a time I would not leave the house without make up, well mascara being the least. Now? I have not really worn make up in 3 years. I have learned to be comfortable with who I am.
Jewelry! I love it but there comes a time to say no more, I have plenty of costume jewelry as well as a few pieces of nice, I have plenty to wear already. Plus, I don`t wear it as often as I used to, at home I won`t bother to put it on at all.
Out to a Buffet dinner. The only way I will go is to get take out, its just a waste of money to pay $10 an up for a buffet and me eat one normal size plate, not even full of food, or just have a salad.
Alcohol. I don`t drink so one drink will get me drunk but I am a happy drunk so not bottle of wine or vodka or 6 pack of beer.
Small kitchen appliances. No, just no. Nothing needed. I have a toaster than I don`t use. I have an electric can opener I don`t use. I have a food processor I barely use. I do not make smoothies but I have a ninja.
Clothes. I have clothes and since I am picky its not a good idea to buy them for me and expect me to wear them.
What is a waste to buy for you?

Many of the same. It is easy to buy me clothes as I am happy with t-shirts. I dont want cut flowers. If you want to give me flowers give me ones I can plant and enjoy for at least the season.

You sound like me, once there was a time I felt I needed make up, then I cut down to eye shadow and mascara, now nothing.
I never eat out , but will do take out and bring it home and relax, on a day I am not cooking.
A waste to me is too nice of a car, why do i say that, well it is because I had a new car long ago it was parked outside my job and I was inside the job. a big rig came totaled it out and drove off down the street. The driver drunk and I only got a little bit of money and still owed money on the car and was paying for a car that didn't exist anymore, then i got another car, i was able to get a used car, and guess what I woman ran a red light and totaled it.. So lesson learned, not to get such a new or semi used car because it may not last and money saved. Today I wouldn't be able to handle a car note and big insurance.
Clothes, I am a jean, capri , t shirt, sweat shirt person. I still have some dress clothes, from when I worked , some of them still fit, so no need for fancy clothes.

@andriaperry I had to have one to get to my job, college and others things . The days before lyft and Uber. and a taxi would have been a lot. Too many buses to take to get to my destination.

I've never drunk booze so forget buying that for me. Don't like makeup or hair coloring. I am not into tech so scrap the GPS and smart phone jazz. Please oh God no forget the carnival ride tickets. Don't buy me a season's pass to a ski lodge and I don't have the balance for biking though I used to love a bike. Same with motorcycles. No on anything to do with them. Find me some shoes that do NOT hurt my feet and you will have me giggly. I promise.

@andriaperry Yeah. I kind of used to like the ferris wheel. Then when I was a kid sitting in a ferris wheel seat, at the very tip top, stupidly sitting there with my wise acre brother. He shook the seat. He found it hilarious to give me a thrill that has not left me yet.

A lot actually. And I feel bad about it. I really hate receiving presents. Especially clothes and jewelry. Anything expensive is strict no. My mind says come on...you already have this do not buy another...and I get angry at the person. I am unable to exercise MY CHOICE because you gave me one..and I can't even give it away. And in case of expensive objects, I start feeling obliged, which you may know is not a comfortable feeling.

I know how you feel. We're not wealthy by American standards (probably are compared to some other countries), but we've been blessed with all we need and most of what we want. It's hard at Christmas and birthdays to think of gifts and I think it's wrong to spend money just to be spending it. For a while now, gifts in our family tend to be experiences. Those are enjoyed and remembered far longer than "items."

I am a keeper so I keep things with me, no matter even if that's a utter waste....
But yeah, clothes are surely one thing that I would always suggest people not to give me.... They are actually a waste for me since I am really picky with what I wear

A good list you have here. Mine is very similar. I do enjoy the $5.00 buffet from time to time but only one plate + dessert. I wear very little make-up, not like I used to. Have plenty of jewelry and clothes. Many appliances in the cabinet could be donated.

Pretty much the same things you mentioned. I've only worn lipstick if anything most of my life and now I need to remember to put it on which I don't more often than not.

Most of my kitchen appliances were a bit of a waste.
I sold my Instant Pots both of those. And my Air Fryer.

I hear ya! A friend entered me for a free insta pot, that is the only way I would get one. Aren`t they just pressure cookers?!

Its a waste of money for me to have a big house in the urban city or subdivision when me and my wife and children can comfortably live in country.
