This is the story
of a sentinel, a soldier
Standing guard
Though his enemies, they gathered round
that soldier, he stood his ground
He fought bravely,
with all his heart & soul
He didn't do it for gold,
nor for a crown
He did it for his people,
Didn't want to let them down
He thought,
"My people, they mean the world to me
They'll sleep in liberty & peace,
whatever the cost has to be
I'm willing to pay it, they are worthy"

War is tragic but you know what? I think what is more tragic is when it becomes unavoidable and necessary.
