Ashley who is a 16 year old teenager who was born deaf will remember her first flight that she took be herself from Baltimore Maryland to Rochester New York that had a connection flight at the JFK Airport in New York City where a kind flight attendant named Janna came to assist the teenager when she boarded her flight from New York City to Rochester.
How did Janna know that Ashley was deaf is not clear. What Janna did to make Ashley's flight comfortable was to write her a note explaining in detail what to do during the flight which made Ashley feel like a valued customer.
Ashley is very thankful that Janna took the time to make her flight a memorable one.
The management of Delta Airlines is now considering hiring flight attendants who can assist deaf passengers during their flights around the world.
It is nice to see Delta Airlines doing some good deeds to assist passengers fly safely and with assistance due to a handicap that hampers their enjoyment of a flight.

It is nice to see an employee of Delta Airlines assisting a passenger who has a hearing problem during her first solo flight.

I'm glad to hear that Delta will become more proactive regarding handicapped passengers. Janna is to be commended for her empathy.

The management at Delta Airlines is now going to find flight attendants who can assist deaf passengers on their flights from now on. It will rebuild their image as a safe and friendly airline.

That is wonderful but surprising no one ever thought about flight attendants needing to know about deaf and otherwise disabled passengers. It cannot be that this was the first time a deaf passenger boarded a plane.

You are right. I am sure there have been other stories like this one that did not make the local news cut.

It is one of the best stories that I have heard of about a flight attendant in a long time.
