Why am I immeasurably proud of my mother?

My mother has raised and reared me in a copybook manner. When I was a child, she took utmost care to ensure that I did not go awry. She inculcated in me the need to abstain from tobacco, alcohol or liquor and non-vegetarian dishes. My father could not devote a great deal of time to me because of being preoccupied with office tasks most of the time. My mother never left me unattended when I was a kid. My mother has always taught me to say no to communalism. She taught me to treat Allah, Jesus Christ and Lord Shiva in the same manner.
